Kansas State University is offering a new financial well-being zero credit hour course to assist students in learning about managing financial resources, overcoming financial challenges and how your college career translates into future opportunities. As part of the course you will also be introduced to Powercat Financial, K-State’s peer-to-peer financial education program, by scheduling yourself a free financial planning session. With this pilot program we are offering a $50 scholarship incentive to the first 250 students who enroll and a $50 scholarship incentive to the first 250 students to complete the course.
The course is called PFP 300 Problems in Personal Financial Planning and will be offered in 4 sections with 2 in-person options and 2 online asynchronous options. Enroll in which ever section meets your needs the best. Each section will complete 6 modules on topics such as financial beliefs and behaviors, budgeting, student loan planning, and understanding credit. In-person sections meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-5:00pm over 3 weeks and adds the value of a facilitator. Online asynchronous options allows you to work through the modules independently at your own pace over 5 weeks.
