Mission We are the Kansas State Chapter of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society -a group of undergraduate and graduate students at K-State dedicated to exploring the latest advancements in medicine and biomedical technology. We come from a variety of majors and backgrounds, but we have one common goal: improve the lives of patients through technology.
Membership Benefitsa. All members must be in good academic standing as defined in the University Handbook.b. Full membership shall be limited to registered students of Kansas State University.c, To be considered an active member, an individual must attend at least 50% of allscheduled large-group meetings and special events each semester, unless the Secretaryexcuses them from this requirement upon presentation of a valid conflict (such as a classor lab).d. A member is one who is currently enrolled at Kansas State University and workingtowards any degree. Members have indicated their desire to join EMBS by notifying thesecretary upon meeting the qualifications in Article 2, Section 1.e. Members who expected to pay for the full IEEE and EMBS membership fee will receivepriority placement in opportunities with limited space such as tours, design teams, andconferences. (approximately $50 for January-December). (For the first year membership,regular members have the opportunity of having their IEEE & EMBS membership feespartially or fully covered, dependent upon the amount of funding received and the budgetfor the current year.)
