Mission Kansas State University’s Amateur Radio Club (W0QQQ), in continuous operation since 1927, promotes interest in amateur radio by supporting curriculum through workshops and licensing opportunities, encouraging participation in regional and worldwide operating events, and providing service to both K-State and the surrounding community in coordination with the university’s emergency management plan. Membership includes students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Membership BenefitsAll members are welcome, whether or not they hold an FCC amateur radio license. Licensed members have access to the club’s well-equipped campus radio station. For those new to amateur radio, the club provides opportunities to learn, prepare for, and earn an FCC license through study groups, workshops, and mentoring. Members also gain hands-on experience with radio technology, participate in regional and worldwide operating events, and join a community of students, faculty, staff, and local partners who share an interest in communication, technology, and service.
