Mission Silver Key Sophomore Honorary at Kansas State University exists to serve Kansas State University and the Manhattan area, to support the activities in which the student body and K-State participates, and to foster among all students a sense of community commitment.
Membership BenefitsSilver Key members hone their leadership skills through planning and executing service events, participating in biweekly business meetings, serving as officers and committee chairs, and using their strengths and talents to move the organization forward.
The selection process for Silver Key takes place during the spring semester. Students first complete an online application which is scored using a rubric. Students with the highest scores are invited to interview. Interviews are also rated using a rubric. Students with the highest overall scores are invited to join Silver Key. Induction into Silver Key generally happens in late-March.
