Mission
The purpose of the team includes, but is not limited to:
• Represent Kansas State University at the Region V Soil Judging Competition and if
qualifications are met, National Collegiate Soil Judging competitions
• Educate students in the field of soil evaluation

Membership Benefits
•This competition give these students that ability to learn about new soils, their classifications, soil texture diversity, and learning about soil features.
•They also can gain real work experiences by meeting professionals in the field.
•Students also learn about the history of the area that the competition is in to better understand what soils they could possibly see.
