February 29th Advisors' Circle Recap

On Thursday, February 29th, Student Programs and Involvement held the monthly Advisors' Circle meeting, where we discussed how different offices handle transitions in leadership as we head into the second half of the semester.

First, Alexandria Wilson from Fraterntiy and Sorority Life came and spoke about how fraternities and sororities handle their transitions. You can find more about how FSL handles their transitions here.

SPI also has a series of resources for you to ease the transition, known as Passing the Torch. This series includes a YouTube video, a PowerPoint, and a guide that has;

• An outgoing officer to do list
• A sheet on how to prepare transition binders/files/notebooks
• An outgoing officer worksheet
• An outgoing officers major accomplishments sheet
• A student organization officer transition meeting outline
• An incoming officer to do list
• An incoming officers transition worksheet
• An incoming officers meeting agenda

All these resources are specifically set up to make sure that you and your student leaders have the most efficient transition possible!
