Week of Welcome, or WOW, is a semi-annual university-wide event series designed to foster students’ sense of belonging, build community, and connect students to involvement opportunities and campus resources.
University colleges, departments, and recognized student organizations are invited to plan and host events during spring Week of Welcome, January 21-24, 2025.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will develop a sense of belonging by establishing connections with peers, university faculty/staff, and community representatives.
- Students will appreciate the differences and similarities across the campus community.
- Students will explore opportunities for on-campus involvement and engagement.
- Students will understand how to access and utilize on-campus resources.
- Students will understand university traditions and values

Campus Planning Meetings
These meetings are intended to help coordinate WOW plans across the University. SPI will lead a discussion of the event schedule, marketing strategies, planning timeline, and questions/ideas brought forward by attendees.
