Details

The "How to Get Started with Research" workshop, hosted by the Diversity in Computing / ACM-W chapter, is an event designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of research writing and presentation. Scheduled for November 7th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Due 2168 CS Conference, the workshop will be presented by Amulya Sreejith.

Attendees will learn about key aspects of research writing, including structure, flow, and basic formatting. The session covers practical tools for creating figures and tables in LaTeX, collaborative writing using Overleaf, and designing diagrams with TikZ and PGFPlots. There will also be tips on using LaTeX table generators for producing professional-quality tables. As a bonus, pizza will be provided for participants.
