Double Take: Gallery Tour of Select Artworks | 1+1 = 3 — New Meaning from Combinations

Double Take: Gallery Tour of Select Artworks | Thurs., Oct. 22, 2026 | 5:30-6 p.m. | Beach Museum of Art | Free and open to the public | Theme: 1+1 = 3 — New Meaning from Combinations

Images carry meaning. Artists rely on this fact as they bring together multiple images within a single work. Each meeting makes new meaning — something neither image carried alone. This conversation explores how combination shapes what art says, from the canvas to the wall to the viewer.

Double Take is a 30-minute program hosted by Museum Outreach Specialist Nate McClendon that invites participants to take a deeper look at selected artworks on display. Gain insight into artistic techniques, philosophies, and the role of art in everyday life, while also having the opportunity to anonymously share and observe real-time reactions to the works. Join us throughout the year as we discover how to use the museum, engage with art, and uncover why art matters.
