Hall Updates & Information

Bathroom Cleanliness & Etiquette

Our dedicated housekeeping staff work hard to ensure you have clean bathrooms and lobby spaces each day. While it is inevitable that our bathrooms experience some messiness, recent behavior in these spaces have required excess cleaning from our staff.

Be sure to follow these key rules to ensure our spaces stay clean, safe, and ready for all residents and guests to use.
  • Paper Towels must be places in a trash can. There is zero reason why paper towels should be left on the floors, counters, or placed in toilets.
    • Note: Should the bathoom trash fill up, you may either compact the trash with your hands or utilize the trash cans available in the trash rooms.

  • Hair Dye is not prohibited however it must be used in a cleanly and maintained fashion. Residents choose to dye their hair must full clean up after themselves. This may include wiping up surfaces and/or washing excess dye down the drain. No hair dye should be left for housekeeping staff to clean.
    • Note: Hair dye will stain and ruin our shower curtains. Please avoid getting any hair dye of cloth surfaces.

  • Period Products are made available for invidivuals requiring them in several of our bathrooms. These products must only be used for there intended purposes. Proper disposal of these projects is also critial for the cleanliness and safety of our restrooms. Used period products should be wrapped up and places in the approach recepticles.

Use of Hall Items

We provide a variety or items, resources, and spaces for our residents to use through each hall's front desk. It is important to remember that hall items and spaces are shared by all residents.
  • Lobby & Common Spaces are open to all residents. It is important to remember that Quiet Hours remain in effect in these spaces during designated times alongside 24/7 courtesy hours. In addition, it is important that we keep these spaces clean and organized for all to enjoy.

  • Hall Items (including keys to our kitchens and weight room) are available to check out through the front desk. All hall items must be turned back into the front desk in a responible amount of time (approx. 2 hours). In addition, items such as kitchen utensils must be return fully cleaned.
    • Note: Our desks close at 1:00am Monday - Thursday. Last item check out is at 12:30am and items must be returned by 12:55am.

Facilities Reminders

As we enter the fall season, we have a few reminders to help you keep our spaces in the best of shape!
  • Pumpkins are a typical fall decoration, especially during October! With that, there are a few restrictions on where pumpkins can be places and what type of pumpkins are allowed in our spaces.
    • Not Allowed: Full size pumpkings of any kind. This includes whole, carved, and painted pumpkins. Note: Residents may choose to display pumpkins outside of our halls so long as they do not block sidewalks, building entrances/exits, or placed in a way in which they can be easily damaged.
    • Allowed: Small handled pumpkings (either whole or painted) may be placed inside or next to your door in the hallway. However, they may not impeed the flow of traffic and/or cause hazards for our housekeeping staff.

  • Fall Temperatures are right around the corner! As we experience colder temperatures during the night our HVAC systems may switch to heat causing an increase in room temperature during the morning hours. Please know that this is normal operations for our systems.
    • Note: With the falling temperatures, keeping your window open may attract bugs to your room. It is suggested that you do not keep your windows open for extended periods of time to avoid unwanted insects in your space!
