Join us for our Denim Day celebration featuring campus and community partners hosting interactive activities that raise awareness about sexual assault and support survivors. Denim Day began in 1999 after the Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction, claiming the survivor must have helped remove her tight jeans, implying consent. In response, women in the Italian Parliament wore denim to protest the ruling and stand in solidarity with survivors. Today, wearing denim is a global symbol of support for survivors and a commitment to challenging harmful myths about sexual violence.

Campus and community partners who will be tabling include: Via Christi Forensic Nursing program, Morrison Family Center for Student Wellbeing, Riley County Police Department, KSU Police Department, CAPS, Civil Rights and Title IX, The Crisis Center, The Family Center, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Child Advocacy Center, Residence Life, and Student Support and Accountability.
