Join the Center for Advocacy, Response and Education (CARE), the Center for Student Involvement, and the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and wear denim on Wednesday, April 27th in support and solidarity with survivors of sexual assault.

Why Denim?
Denim Day is an international movement that started 23 years ago when a rape conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who raped her remove her jeans, thereby implying consent. Now, Denim Day brings awareness to victim blaming and destructive myths that surround sexual violence.
