Being part of the Steel Bridge Team offers a valuable learning experience that can benefit members in both their academic and professional careers.

Members gain hands-on experience in designing steel structures, applying principles of statics, mechanics, and materials science. Team members learn practical skills in fabrication techniques, welding, and construction methods. Kansas State University’s Amateur Radio Club (W0QQQ), in continuous operation since 1927, promotes interest in amateur radio by supporting curriculum through workshops and licensing opportunities, encouraging participation in regional and worldwide operating events, and providing service to both K-State and the surrounding community in coordination with the university’s emergency management plan. Membership includes students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

All members are welcome, whether or not they hold an FCC amateur radio license. Licensed members have access to the club’s well-equipped campus radio station. For those new to amateur radio, the club provides opportunities to learn, prepare for, and earn an FCC license through study groups, workshops, and mentoring. The KSU Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners is an organization whose mission is to provide veterinary students with increased exposure to issues of special interest in the equine industry.

Membership Benefits
Monthly meetings feature respected faculty, both veterinary and non-veterinary equine specialists, as well as equine practitioners and equine producers. Surgery, medicine, practice management, and equine facilities are just some of the topics discussed. Lunch presentations, weekly rounds, wet labs, fund-raisers, and continuing education conferences, are some of the "hands on" activities available to members. SCAAEP club advisors are dedicated to helping members learn more about the equine industry. Student members also have the option of joining the national AAEP chapter and receiving full membership benefits at a discounted rate. The level of experience in the equine industry is of no importance for club members.
