We here at Student Programs and Involvement recently received this message;
"Hi college friends,
My name is David and I'm 11 years old and the founder of Ducks For Dementia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity.
We donate toy ducks to residents with dementia at memory care homes throughout the country and now Canada too. We also raise awareness about dementia and funds for research and support, making smiles one duck at a time. I started this charity in honor of my dad and grandma who both struggled with Alzheimer's disease for many years and they loved my toy ducks. So, at 10 years old, I created Ducks for Dementia to help others with dementia too.
I am writing to tell you about some very exciting news! We are rolling out our Ducks for Dementia College Club Program.
Over the summer, we went to Montreal to deliver toy ducks to a memory care home and we were honored to visit McGill University and talk to college students on campus. I realized that students want to be involved with helping others and they loved my story and asked how they could help.
I hope you will join the Ducks for Dementia college club to help those with dementia and the journey to all 50 states."
