Are you still considering career options for the future? Thinking about graduate school after you graduate? Here at K-State, we offer an on-campus master’s degree in College Student Development that prepares our graduate students for work in student affairs administration (working to support students in out-of-class settings in various types of colleges and universities).
Some of the graduates of our program work in Housing & Dining departments, some work in Career Services, some work in Student Support roles, some work in Admissions, some work in Financial Aid, etc. There are so many interesting job opportunities in higher education for those who have a master’s degree in College Student Development.
If you are someone who loves campus life, I strongly encourage you to consider this program when you graduate. Here is an interesting blog post about why others have chosen to pursue a career in this area: https://paulgordonbrown.com/2014/10/14/100-professionals-answer-why-they-choose-studentaffairs-as-a-career/. Additionally, here is a link to a panel discussion with people who pursued this career path: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fxQ49mHNLY.
