Join the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, or KAWSE, for a Career Chat this semester.
Career Chats are opportunities for students and staff to hear from current professionals in the field regarding their experiences navigating STEM as a woman or other marginalized identity. From 10am to 11am on Feb. 22, hear from Dr. Ana Julia Paula Carcedo, a postdoctoral researcher at the K-State Ciampitti Lab.
Dr. Ana Julia Paula Carcedo is an international scholar from Argentina. After finishing her Ph.D. in Agronomic Sciences, she joined the K-State family as a post-doctoral researcher at the Ciampitti Lab. She specializes in modeling and crop simulations, with the goal of developing frameworks that impact the farmer's labor. With this in mind, she is passionate about crop ecophysiology and management.
Join us for this Career Chat as Dr. Carcedo discusses her career path, the intersections of her identities as an international female scholar, and tips for networking in a culturally diverse context. RSVP by Feb. 15.
Questions regarding this event may be directed to kawse@ksu.edu, (785) 532-6088 or in-person at 215 Fairchild Hall.
