MLK Day of Service

Jacob Porter - Tuesday, January 20
 General
Happy New Year! As you reflect on the past year and set intentions for the year ahead, we invite you to take action toward making a positive impact in our community. HandsOn Kansas State welcomes you, your family, friends, and students to join us for our annual MLK Day of Service on Saturday, January 24.

The day will kick off with a free breakfast program at the Leadership Studies Building from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m., featuring a mini-museum that highlights influential leaders and activists, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who played pivotal roles in the Civil Rights Movement. Following breakfast, participants will volunteer at various service sites across Manhattan, Kansas, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This year, we are proud to partner with several incredible local organizations, including, but not limited to Peaceful Pantry, Kansas 4-H, and Goodwill.
How to Participate:
Sign up here to express your interest in joining us. As the event approaches, you will receive more details, including the selection of your specific service site.
We encourage you to share this invitation with others who may be interested in participating. Together, let’s celebrate the legacy of Dr. King by giving back and building new connections in our community.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at handson@ksu.edu.
