As we head into the new semester, the Center for Student Involvement would like to remind you of fundraising opportunities for your student organizations. One such opportunity is with K-State alum and the president/CEO of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, Vern Henricks. Vern works with student groups throughout the year to clean up after athletics events.

Football @ Bill Snyder Family Stadium
- Sections of the stadium are assigned for recycling cleanup
- Trash cleanup is handled by separate group
- Make sure your organization shows up and bring at least the number of people you say you’re going to bring
- Need to be responsible for work no matter the weather if you sign up.
- Meet Vern under video board at the Southeast corner inside the stadium when game is over
- You will not be allowed in the stadium until the game is over
- Games are September 2, 9, 23, October 21, 28, November 11, 25
Volleyball & Basketball @ Bramlage Coliseum
- Cleanup is all materials, there is no recycling cleanup indoors
- It’s a new facility so the entrance information will be shared when assigned
- Volleyball games are September 1, 3, 14, 16, 21, 22, 30, October 11, 26, 27, November 8, 17, 18
- Men’s basketball at home will start early November
- Women's basketball at home will early November
Pay
- Football pay is fixed based on a required time it takes for cleaning—figured at a $15/hr rate.
o (Example: If you have an area that takes 10 people to clean in an hour, your will earn $150, if you bring more or less as long as you get it done in an hour, you earn the same amount. - Basketball & Volleyball rate is $14/hr., everyone will be credited with $14/hr. based on how many hours it takes for cleanup—no fixed rates
- Checks will come from Make a Difference Foundation the first of each month unless requested otherwise
