The Museum of Art + Light, Manhattan’s newest (and NOT even officially open yet) museum is seeking volunteers to assist with several free and drop in hand on events!
I wondered if you could advise me of the best way to reach K-State students who may be seeking some very episodic or part-time volunteer hours for community service? We are launching our official volunteer program at MoAL and will need several volunteers Saturday May 4 at the Flint Hills Festival—and at other intervals during the summer and fall before we open our doors.

Here is a description of the first activity for which we will need 10-15 volunteers during the day (for three hour shifts).
May 4, Flint Hills Festival, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Use LIGHT and MATH to create ART!
As part of the Flint Hills Festival hosted by the Flint Hills Discovery Center, the Museum of Art + Light will provide a FREE, drop-in, hands-on interactive activity making a prairie-and fractal inspired cyanotype! Using UV light (from the sun or a light box) participants will create a cyanotype photogram or photographic print to create their own unique compositions using collected plant matter including: prairie flowers, native plants, and other natural species or imagery (provided by the museum) of the prairie landscape that features mathematical elements found in nature to create a light-inspired work. This activity is in partnership with Mathapalooza and MoA+L and Manhattan photographer Luke Townsend.
