About

This 1.5 hour workshop is part of the 2022 Student Organization Leadership Summit, hosted in partnership by the Center for Student Involvement, Housing and Dining Services, HandsOn K-State, and Mortar Board. 
 

Audience

This session is intended for juniors, seniors, graduate students, and individuals with one or more years of student leadership experience at K-State, however all K-State students are welcome. 
 

Speakers

Guest speakers and presentation topics include: 
  • Student org involvement and your future career, Kevin Santos Flores, Diversity & Multicultural Student Life
    • Highlights on how your involvement in student organizations and relations with people from diverse backgrounds gives you a better understanding of human nature and how to work together as teams in your future careers.
  • Maximizing your experience in a job search, Grace Scott, Career Center
    • How to maximize your student involvement experience in a job search by understanding its value and articulating that on resumes and in interviews.
  • Strengths in team building, Emily Wollard, K-State Strengths
    • Understanding your top five Strengths and what you bring to the table in your organization. Building on knowledge of self, we will explore how you can understand the talents of others to work cohesively in a well-balanced team.
