  • Maintenance

    I am locked out. Can someone let me in?  Call the staff on duty at 785-564-2409. Resident will be charged $10 each after the 3rd lockout for the semester.

    Facility Issues - If you experience apartment issues such as access failures, water leaks, broken appliances, malfunctioning smoke detectors, faulty locks, or AC problems, put in a maintenance work order. Visit Housing Portal . Login with your EID > Go to Request > Select Add Request > Add Descriptions and indicate the type of issues > Click Submit . A Housing staff will be assigned to come check it out. For life threatening issues like gas leaks , electrical faults , flood , call the Jardine RA on call 785-564-2409

    What should I do during a fire alarm?  Evacuate the building immediately and wait for emergency personnel to issue an all-clear.

    Monthly Pest Control Inspection -   Housing Staff inspects buildings in order to prevent and regulate infestations of cockroaches, other insects and rodents.

    Are you traveling  -   In order to ensure the safety and upkeep of the facility, Housing and Dining Services requires residents notify the Jardine Apartments office when leaving your apartment for more than 5 days. Staff may conduct periodic inspections to verify the condition of the facility while you are away from your apartment. Residents may provide the notification by completing this form - Extended Leave of Absence.

  • Community Guildlines

    How do I register a guest? Register them with the Jardine office before or immediately at arrival.

    How do I report a noise complaint? Politely let your neighbors know they are disturbing you; if it continues, contact the staff on duty to make a report at 785-564-2409. Read more about Noise Levels - Quiet Hours .

    Can I smoke in my apartment - Smoking is prohibited on University property.

  • Apartment Guidlines

    Whose name should the utility account be under? One of the roommates, but all roommates are responsible for maintaining service, regardless of whose name is on the account.

    What thermostat setting should I use? During the winter, residents are required to set the thermostat at 64F  to prevent freezing of pipes. If you will be vaacting your apartment for more than 5days. Submit and extended leave of absense. This will allow our staff to regular check the apartment for any maintenance issues.

  • Move-in and Checkouts

    Can I arrive early or stay late?  Early arrivals or late stays require prior approval from the Jardine office and may incur additional fees.

    Can I change bedrooms? Room changes must be officially requested and approved through Housing Office at Pitmann. Call 785-532-6453

  • Contract Lease / Charges

    How do I pay rent? Rent is billed to and paid through your KSIS student account.

    What is this charge on my account? Review your itemized KSIS statement or contact Cashiers and Student Billing.

    What happens to my security deposit? It is refunded or applied to any outstanding balances after your final move-out inspection.

    Subleasing /Apartment Agreement Change

    1. Residents shall use apartments only as a residence for those on the agreement, including roommates or spouses and/or dependent children.
    2. Residents shall notify the Jardine office of any change in their family, roommate or academic status that may affect their eligibility to reside in apartments. This includes bedroom changes in modern apartments. All family members, including spouses and children, must be registered with the Jardine office.
    3. Residents shall not sublease the apartment.
    4. Residents shall not transfer the Jardine agreement to another person without the approval of Housing and Dining Services and all roommates where applicable.
    5. Residents shall not harbor cats, dogs or any other unapproved animals in the apartment. If granted approval for a service/assistance animal, residents shall follow the pet regulations as outlined in this handbook and regulations given during the approval process. Pet waste must be removed and properly disposed of.
    6. Residents — including spouses and dependent children — and their guests shall not substantially disrupt the living environment of Jardine Apartments community members.

  • Mail and Packages

    How do I receive mail at Jardine? USPS delivers mail to your Jardine mailbox.For bigger packages you will recieve an email from the Central mail office with instructions to collect the package. DHL, FEDEX, UPS and  other couriers services might deliver at your door.

    Moving out of Jardine, how do I receive my mail? If a K-State department changes locations, you must complete a Department Change of Address Form for Central Mail Services. This form officially changes a department's address on the K-State campus. Completing this form ensures your department's mail is delivered to the correct location efficiently.
