The African Students Union's annual Welcome Party is our first event of the semester. It is

Life at K-State goes well beyond the walls of campus. Come check out the many places to eat and things to do in and around Manhattan. Grab free food samples, discounts, and giveaways from a number of our local Manhattan businesses.
8:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Join the George Wright Society: Tallgrass Chapter for an end of the first week bonfire with s'mores at Pottawatomie Lake No. 2 State Fishing Lake! Not a member of the club? That is ok! You can come learn more about the club or just hangout with fellow K-State students! Bring a friend, bring a chair if you have one and if you need a ride out to the lake then let us know we can help you! Our club is excited for the new school year and is always looking for new members or socializing with fellow students!
There is no admission fee for the event and the s'mores will be provided.

Join us at Luther House for an outdoor movie after your first full week of class! We will be watching Disney's: Encanto. Popcorn will be provided. All Are Welcome, bring your friends! The activities carnival held each semester is a great opportunity for students who are looking to get more involved to find an organization matching their interests. They are also great opportunities for student organizations to recruit new and excited students to join their organizations. This event is only for registered student organizations.
The Fall Activities Carnival will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022. The activity carnival will begin at 6:00 pm and organizations can begin setting up at 5:00 PM.

Join us after the Activities Carnival for a stop at the famous Varsity Donut Truck in Aggieville. If you haven't been there before, you won't want to miss out! Cat Trax is a new program for first-year students designed to help you explore all there is to do at K-State! Earn points, prizes and more by doing things that help you get involved, stay healthy, broaden your horizons, and prepare for your future career. Earn extra points for attending this event, snag free giveaways from campus partners, and enter to win prizes just for checking in!

Join us on "The Quad" for frisbee, freeze pops, and to destress after your first day of classes. All Are Welcome! Bring your friends! If you aren't familiar with "The Quad" it's the big grassy area north of Hale Library, you won't miss it!

We'll hide a rock somewhere on campus every day during Week of Welcome and release clues on our social media accounts. Take a pic with the rock & get entered to win our daily prize drawing!
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Join us for a free home cooked meal at 5pm followed by a "Come as You Are" Worship at Luther House. Come kick off the school year with us and meet new people! Our worship services are laid back and easy to follow. All Are Welcome, bring your friends! You do not have to be Lutheran or even Christian to join! If you aren't able to join us for supper, come at 6pm for our worship service. Feel free to come to supper and leave before worship. If you can't make it to this event, note that every Sunday throughout the school year we have a free home cooked meal at 5pm followed by a laid back worship service at 6pm. We are located at 1810 Todd Road. Two blocks North of Wefald Hall, two blocks South of the Jardine Apartments, near Throckmorton & the K-state Greenhouses.
