Mudge Week

We will be handing out free seed packets and information about supporting pollinators from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the K-State Union and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Waters Quad.

Join us at the Manhattan Arts Center for the kickoff of our first Mudge Week Art and Photo Contest Gallery. We will have light refreshments and a brief presentation about art and insects. If someone cannot attend the kickoff, they can still visit the MAC throughout the week to browse the gallery and vote for their favorite pieces.

Bring your spare change and donate in the jars in Waters 123 to vote on whether Philips (K-State) or Philip Shults (USDA) will have to eat insect food at the Awards Ceremony. The proceeds will go toward the C.V. Riley Restoration Fund, and donations from this campaign will be matched up to $1,500.

We will be collecting donations for Cat’s Cupboard to support students in need. Donation boxes will be available during the week for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food or essential items.

Watch as undergraduate and graduate students will give a 3-minute presentation on different topics in entomology using only a single static slide.
