CS-GSA is firing up the grills, and the whole department is invited: faculty and graduate students.

Food
We're grilling beef burgers, halal chicken patties, turkey franks, hot dogs, jalapeño smoky links, and Beyond Burgers. Halal and plant-based items are cooked on a separate surface with separate utensils. Halal and plant-based portions are limited, so please tell us what you'd like when you register.

WHAT TO BRING
A folding or camping chair. Shelter seating is limited, and we would rather everyone had somewhere comfortable to sit.
A hat and sunglasses. This is a midday event with four hours of open sun.
Sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and bug spray. We are near the lake in September, so the mosquitoes show up around late afternoon.
Any games you own. Cornhole, spikeball, a frisbee, a volleyball, a deck of cards, anything. Bring it, and we will make room. Games are the easiest way to get people talking who would not otherwise start a conversation, which is the whole point of this one.
 

Getting there
Brooks Shelter is at Tuttle Creek, a short drive north of campus and not within walking distance.

We buy food based on the headcount, so registering makes a real difference. If your plans change, please cancel your RSVP so someone on the waitlist can take your spot.
