Alzheimer’s Buddies at Kansas State University is an undergraduate student organization that seeks to improve the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s Disease in local institutional settings and strives to increase Alzheimer’s awareness in the community. The long-term project consists of weekly meetings between students paired with local Alzheimer’s patients to create strong and significant relationships. Student volunteers visit their buddy–a person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease–for one hour per week during the academic school year with the goal of developing a one-on-one relationship with their buddy to help to reduce the loneliness that is rampant for those living with Alzheimer’s disease in institutional settings. Alzheimer’s Buddies chapters uphold the National Alzheimer’s Buddies (NAB) name and follow the policies, procedures, and organizational structure set forth by the original chapter, Harvard College Alzheimer’s Buddies. NAB will help schools establish a chapter and provide support by supplying a manual, training materials, and guidance. Our collective goal is to spread awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and to make a difference in the Alzheimer’s community.

Club baseball offers Kansas State students the opportunity to continue playing high level baseball following their high school or collegiate careers.

The K-State Country Dance Club is here to teach everything we know about two-step and swing dancing. We can teach basic moves like the pretzel or catscratch; but, we can also teach more advanced moves like the star and bullrider. Our mission is to equip university students and faculty to give historical,
philosophical, and scientific reasons for following Jesus Christ. The purpose of this
Ratio Christi Chapter is to cultivate the intellectual voice of Christ and the Christian
worldview at the university and to do this by encouraging stimulating dialogue and
intellectual investigation which aid in answering life's pressing questions, especially
where those questions find their answers supported by the academic disciplines of study
including but not limited to: culture, history, science, philosophy, and theology. The
goal will be to foster critical thinking, the use of logic, and evidential and philosophical
tools in the pursuit of truth in understanding the world and religious beliefs. The
Chapter will encourage and strengthen the faith of Christian students and faculty while
sharing Christ's message and love with those who have not yet accepted Him. Ratio
Christi intends not to compete with other ministries but instead seeks to serve and
support other ministries. The Chapter will exist as an asset for all by facilitating
amicable discussions around worldview matters while taking into account the plethora
of diverse paradigms and backgrounds found at the University.

Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship among its members. The sorority was founded in 1978 at the Ohio State University by five women who wanted an alternative to the social Greek sorority system. Since that time, Sigma Alpha has become a national organization consisting of more than 80 chapters, comprised of undergraduate and alumnae members. Today, more than 19,000 members have been initiated into Sigma Alpha Sorority. We are growing steadily as others in agriculture learn about us.

Silver Key Sophomore Honorary at Kansas State University exists to serve Kansas State University and the Manhattan area, to support the activities in which the student body and K-State participates, and to foster among all students a sense of community commitment.

Silver Key members hone their leadership skills through planning and executing service events, participating in biweekly business meetings, serving as officers and committee chairs, and using their strengths and talents to move the organization forward.

The selection process for Silver Key takes place during the spring semester. Students first complete an online application which is scored using a rubric. Students with the highest scores are invited to interview. Interviews are also rated using a rubric. Students with the highest overall scores are invited to join Silver Key. Induction into Silver Key generally happens in late-March.

SPICMACAY at Kansas State Chapter follows the same principles and working process of SPICMACAY Global Chapters. Artistes, Committees for partnership, Funding Supporters and Volunteers are the base of SPICMACAY. We have been conducting events on K-State Campus in-line with those conducted by SPICMACAY Global Chapters in other parts of the world. Section A. All students of veterinary medicine who are enrolled in the curriculum for the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, granted by Kansas State University, shall be eligible for active membership.

Section B. Regularly enrolled students of veterinary medicine shall become members of this organization upon payment of dues prescribed in the Bylaws.

Section C. Members in good standing is reported in member lists to the AVMA, shall be considered any member who has paid their dues in full for each year enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
